Diaries of an “Almost” Metaphysician: The Silent Victim

Lee esto en español

There are moments along the path when you begin to feel… more advanced.

You don’t say it out loud.
You don’t even fully think it.
But it’s there.

A subtle sense that you’ve understood something others haven’t. That you’ve moved beyond certain ways of thinking, certain reactions.

You see someone complaining, and something inside you quietly settles:

“I’m not there anymore.”

You believe that because you no longer indulge in self-pity, because you don’t repeat “poor me”, you’ve progressed.

That you’ve almost figured it out.

But metaphysics—when truly understood—does not applaud.

It corrects.

It does so through small adjustments in awareness.
Precise.
Silent.
Impossible to ignore.

And within those adjustments, an uncomfortable realization begins to surface:

Maybe the difference you thought you saw… isn’t that big.

What you observe in others—loud, obvious—may still exist in you, just in a quieter form.

And then a deeper thought appears:

Perhaps your position isn’t better…
just harder to detect.

The one who complains openly at least reveals where they stand. Their condition is visible.

But you may fall into something more subtle:

Believing that you’re no longer that.

Believing you’ve moved beyond it.
Believing you’ve outgrown that way of being.

When in reality, you may still be there…
just without saying it.

They express it.
You suppress it.

But if life doesn’t respond,
if there is no direction,
no clear manifestation of what you claim to understand,

then the difference loses its weight.

One speaks of lack… and lives it.
The other doesn’t name it, but lives it just the same.

Held in silence, felt as truth…
and eventually expressed in reality.

And that changes everything.

Because metaphysics doesn’t only observe language.
It observes what you think, what you feel, and what you actually sustain within.

Not just what you repeat,
but what you quietly accept as true.

It is not words that manifest.
It is understanding.

And understanding is not found in what you say…
but in what you feel to be true.

This is where something uncomfortable becomes clear:

Complaint is not always spoken.
Sometimes, it is lived.

In postponement.
In lack of creation.
In a life that never quite aligns with what you know is possible.

That too is a way of saying:

“I can’t.”

Just without the words.

So the question is not whether we are different…
but whether we are living from a different state.

Because you can stop sounding like a victim…
and still live like one.

And here, the teaching becomes precise:

It’s not about being better than others.
It’s not about comparison.

It’s about understanding.

In metaphysics, we do not believe.
We understand.

And real understanding is not measured by what you know,
but by what you are able to express.

Knowledge that is not used,
not applied,
not manifested,

is not knowledge.

It is accumulation.
It is memory.

But it is not understanding.

Because understanding implies transformation.
It implies direction.
It implies evidence.

If it is not expressed in your life,
then what you call knowledge
has not yet descended into consciousness.

Non-harmonious thoughts appear.
That is common in human experience, shaped by habit and error.

But it is not natural.

What is natural is harmony.
Order.
A mind aligned with truth.

So even if those thoughts arise,
they do not have to remain.

Because what is sustained… takes form.

And here, everything connects.

The silent victim does not complain…
but continues to live from the same state.

This is why, in life, we speak of one’s nature.

Not as a word to repeat,
but as something to understand.

Because in metaphysics, it is not enough to say it.
It must be understood, felt, lived.

Nature is that which is born of itself.
That which emerges without distortion.

It is not what is learned.
Not what is repeated.
Not what is conditioned.

It is what remains
when error is removed.

So the question becomes inevitable:

What is my nature?

Is it disorder?
Is it lack?
Is it repetition?

Or is it that which requires no effort to sustain…
because it is already true?

We often confuse what is habitual with what is natural.

But the habitual is repetition.
The natural is essence.

It is harmony.
It is order.
It is clarity.

That is why after memorizing comes something more important:

reflection.

Allowing the word to descend.
To stop being a concept
and become understanding.

Because only what is understood
can be lived.

And only what is lived
can be manifested.

And then, quietly, without proclamation, something begins to change.

Not in speech.
In evidence.

In direction.
In creation.
In the way life responds.

Only then does the difference stop being an idea
and become reality.

But until then, something must be faced.

That person you look down on—because they complain about the system, their job, their nationality, their problems…
look at them carefully.

Because what you see…
is exactly what you are.

You don’t get what you want.
You get what you are.

And as long as both of you are living in the same reality,
there is no real basis to claim you are different—
much less superior.

The difference is not in the words,
but in the result.

One expresses it.
The other contains it.
But if life reflects the same thing,
then the root is the same.

At the core, we are not better.

We only believe we are.

And it is precisely that belief
that keeps us from seeing clearly.

Because as long as we believe we’ve left it behind…
we stop observing it.

And what is not observed
is not transformed.

And what is not transformed…
remains.

So it is not enough to stop complaining.
It is not enough to change language.

Real transformation does not occur in what is said,
but in what is being.

And until that changes,
everything else is just a quieter version…
of the same thing.
